WOW - Congratulations to Christine Sapas and her boy Mario. This year Mario has had: 23 Breed wins and 11 groups placings with THREE group 1st. He is currently ranked #11 in the country. He will be going to the Eukanuba shows in December! GOOD LUCK CHRISTINE AND MARIO !

We are all happy to hear that Janelle Farkas & Taxi completed their Regular-OP title this past weekend and now only need 3 more gambles for their ATCH!!!!!!!!! :) We all hope to celebrate Taxi's ATCH at our February trial in Las Cruces (no pressure).

ASCA NATIONALS UPDATE:
Congratulations to Ray Hodel & Penny for getting 6th place overall in Agility Finals (Vets). What a comeback for Ms. Penny (less than a year after knee surgery!).
And a big congratulation to Leslie Eide and Super-Tundra. They showed wonderfully in Finals and ended up 11th overall with a 12th place in Jumpers, 7th place in
Regular Rd 1 and 10th place in Regular Rd 2.
In Nationals she was 4th HIT Veterans with 3rd in Jumpers, 2nd in
Jumpers.
A super huge congratulations to Janelle Farkas. She was awarded the ASCA Junior Service Award. This is awarded to one junior in the country that displays good sportsmanship on and off the field and that goes above and beyond in service to ASCA.

On Saturday Sept. 26th, Taxi and Janelle took HIT Junior with 1 10 point regular leg and 1 gamblers leg, both elite. Symba and Asher got 1 jumpers JJ-N title and Asher's first title on a dog ever!!!!, 1 gamblers leg and GJ-N title.

Sunday Sept 27 Upper Midwest ASCA Pre- Show Taxi and Janelle earned 1 5 point regular leg and 1 10 point gamblers leg. Symba and Asher 2 jumpers legs, novice and 1 gamblers leg novice, HIT Junior (beating his sister!!!!).
On Monday Sept 28th ASCA Agility Finals - Taxi and Janelle earned 1 10 point regular Q.
Ann Chernoff-Allan's little Ms. Couloir was looking beautiful for Nationals. In Saturday's Preshow and in Nationals she got 2nd in Open black bitches. Maddie got 4th in Elite vet jumpers and Gunde got a 93 in advanced rally fun match.
Shawna Davis and Sayde had quite a showing in agility, obedience and rally. Sayde finished up Nationals with:
5 Agility Q's during pre-trials (2 5th's, 11th, 12th, and 13th place)
Q that was 9th place for Nationals Novice B Obedience of 70 participating dogs.
1st place non-reg for Nationals Rally Excellent Match of 4 dogs.
Q Nationals Elite Reg round 2 that was 13th place. Shawna says "
It was a great week and we enjoyed our 1st Aussie Nationals (except for the windy night/day)"
...And in other news...
Congratulations to Ray Hodel and Boomer for completing their first two agility titles, AKC's NA & NF. Boomer still isn't old enough to compete in ASCA...but, he'll be making his debut in February.

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Leslie Eide and her smiling friend, Tundra Tiger, on attaining their AKC MACH title this weekend at the Weimaraner Club of Albuquerque show. It was a beautiful performance. Two Championships is one month! Great Job Leslie and Tundra!!!

Congratulations to Robin Dettman and Stellar took A-BOB at two recent shows-one in January over 16 other dogs and again in Feb. over 9 dogs. Stellar is also an accomplished agility dog. She picked up her 6th MXJ leg this last weekend in Belen (only 4 more to go for that MXJ title).

Huge, huge congratulations to Carol Roberts and her Del Sol Australian Shepherds ---“NEW” ASCA HALL OF FAME KENNEL!! Her ASCA 2008 Nationals Best in Show boy, Sirius, did it all by achieving the advanced herding title needed to give her and her Del Sol Kennel this most distinguished honor!!
Congratulations to Jane Winkler on being hi-lighted in this month’s edition of “Clean Run” magazine. “K-9 Kudos: Seeing Spots” recognizes Jane’s devotion to her numerous rescue Dalmatians (over 120!!) and giving all these deserving dogs a “job” to do whether it be in agility or obedience. Besides those spotty bodies, Jane is also the proud owner of a Boston Terrier, BC, and of course Surya, a rescue Aussie who is setting the AKC agility world on fire.
